Those who haven’t read https://awakenersofthedawn.com/ don’t realize why Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud was assassinated prior to the Twin towers controled demolition operation, presented as a terrorist attack led by bin Laden. Thus, it is necessary to underline how those who organized this “inside job” needed to get rid of Massoud.
Why ?
Because to invade Afghanistan, seize its underground ressources and control the “heartland” of Central Asia after announcing that bin Laden had seeked refuge there, the US/Israel needed to eliminate first the Lion of Pandjchir who wouldn’t have let the US troops invade his country.
Reason why two Moroccan journalists travelled all the way to the remoted Pandjchir valley of Northern Afghanistan for an interview with Massoud, on september 9th 2001, 2 days before 9/11…
But the Morrocan journalists were not muslims, they were jews equiped with a gun passing for a camera !
Here is my tribute to Massoud memory recalled by Gaétan Montfort who deserves first this intro, fully up to date because it sheds some light on the conflicts in today Democratic Republic of Congo and in South Lebanon : “As a twenty-six year old Lieutenant in 1978, while Bruxelles was shy about an intervention in the former « private hunting ground » of the King of the Belgians, Gaétan de Montfort had skydived with the six hundred paratroopers of the 2nd REP on Kolwezi, in the Katanga province of Zaire, former Belgian Congo (today DRC). The Foreign Legion’s victory had freed two thousands eight hundred expatriates working with the copper mine company in this rich region, who had been taken as hostages by three to four thousands Katangan rebels. These were well armed by various communist countries of the Warsaw Pact in Eastern Europe, who had brought them from Angola where they had been growing restless for the past eighteen years. It was during the aftermath of the independence of the new born Congo from Belgium in 1960 when Moïse Tshombe decided to secede his rich Katanga province which had finally failed. But Tshombe didn’t miss prime minister Patrice Lumumba, he had probably executed from his own hand for the great satisfaction of the CIA pulling the strings on the spot. The horror of the ethnic clashes during the Katangan war was still fresh in the memories and after those days of anguish the whole population was relieved to avoid a bloodshed. As for President Mobutu enjoying a narrow escape, and who could thank the 2nd REP. Then, Gaétan de Montfort found himself in Beyrouth in August 1982 to free Arafat and the PLO who had retreated, while being pursued by the Israelian army. He had then discovered Beyrouth as a post-apocalyptic city following a fratricidal war that pitted the Muslims against the Christians manipulated by the Israelian neighbour. Lebanon was pulled apart by its powerful neighbors, Syria in the North and Israel in the South which divided the Lebanese population. The Israelian threat would degenerate in September 1982 with the attack of the Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Chatila planned by Général Sharon.” excerpt from https://awakenersofthedawn.com/
Here is now Gaetan’s encounter with Massoud :
“I wanted to meet the Lion of Panjshir, Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud having led the resistance against the Soviets from 1979 to 1989, repelling seven major attacks owing him the title of “Lion of Pandjchir”. From his valley of Pandjchir protected by the Hindu Kush summits of more than 6000m, Massoud was heading the Northern Alliance, which passed from 1000 guerrilleros to 13 000 fighters, well armed by the U.S. to oust the Soviets established in Afghanistan since the 1978 Communist coup d’état. That’s why in early July 1979 president Jimmy Carter sent some clandestine help to the Mujahideens stepping up against the pro-USSR regime in Kabul. That’s how this interference in the domestic affairs of Afghanistan led by the CIA was going to trigger six months later the arrival of the USSR troops, to which the US were going to inflict a kind of a Vietnam war for the coming ten years…
Then, in 1992 Massoud became Minister of Defense heading the armed forces, which led him to fight the warlords headed by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar enriched by poppy traffic. Facing the Talibans supported by the U.S. and Saudi Arabia from their rear base in Pakistan, as a moderate Muslim, Massoud was forced to fight against his former allies besieging Kabul.
In 2000, while the Talibans were gaining ground and Massoud pleaded for help from the EU I had asked to meet Commander Massoud during our trip on the Silk Road, and he kindly welcomed us into his house in the Panjshir valley where your aunt really enjoyed the afternoon spent with his wife. Knowing that he had been schooled at the Lycée Français in Kabul, I had brought him a copy of the “War memories” from general De Gaulle, which had pleased him. On our departure, while your aunt was congratulating his wife for the elegancy of her superb Pashmina shawl, this one took it off and covered Genevièves shoulder with it. She was so touched that she got out of her backpack her Hermès scarf to wrap it around Mrs. Massoud’s neck. While both ladies were falling into each other arms, Ahmad had gone back in the house walking out with a book of poems from the great mystic persian poet Rumi in French. He explained me that the founder of the Sufi Whirling Dervishes brotherhood during the 13th century had forged strong links with the Franciscan order, founded by saint Francis of Assisi. Who is not only the saint patron of the ecologists, but also the founder of the inter-religious dialog. I shook his hand with such gratitude for this wonderful time shared with them that he gave me a hug like brother of arms, who both reject war for having practiced it too long. Gaétan’s tone was suddenly the one of a man who holds back his emotion, which gave more weight to his words. Then, after pausing, he went on. – Massoud was inhabited by a joyous serenity and our own special roads were crossing each other : this son of a colonel from the former Royal Afghan Army was an engineer, who had become commandant (Major), and me I was an ex-commandant becoming an agricultural engineer, learning in the field. He was a Sufi. These people command respect, just like Abd el-Kader did during his forced exile in France. Sufis are wise and pacifist, « But when the country is invaded, Sufi doesn’t sit idly by, philosophizing » declared Massoud to me. He had a true nobility and had to protect his people, as our ancestors always did. That is why I was telling you how the petits marquis have betrayed the mission of nobility, which is to serve. When we came back in France we watched the beautiful documentary « Massoud the Afghan », as a tribute to Massoud’s action against the Talibans, filmed by the late Christophe de Ponfilly, who knew him since the war against USSR of the 1980’s.”
