Saturn is the god of the inversion of values, celebrated by Romans during the Saturnalia festivities enjoyed by all during a full week at the time of the Winter solstice, when the slave ordered his master and fornicated with his wife. This cele- bration announcing the return of the sun with longer lasting days got recovered by the Church with Christmas hollydays…
Yet, Saturn is one of the planet the less illuminated by the Sun, and it is also named Cronos by the Greeks owing their alphabet to the Phoenicians. Cronos is the god who devours his own children at birth for fear of being dethroned by them in the Greek mythology. So, here is a frightening god, whose cult will serve the aims of the Jewish clergy, who will control his people out of the terror this god inspires. Which provokes a dreadful neurosis among their descendents terrorized by this cruel god. Thus, the prophet Jeremiah who lived in the 6th century B.C. prophetized the destruction of the Temple and the deportation in Babylon, because the Jews had disobeyed the Almighty God.
